Cutting the Cord

I loved the idea of fabric suede.  It slides thru my adjustable button fasteners perfectly. And for the first month it looked as good as new.

But then I gave it the Stress Test; showering while wearing and hanging my keys on the necklace.  Sadly, it soon looked threadworn and finally broke.  Guess it was too much to ask.

Looking for leather cord that lasts.  Allen has jewelry he puts on for years at a time and that cord lasts.  So it's possible, if I can find it.  And afford it.

The fabric suede is still perfect for bookmarks. Thank goodness for that.

I also turned down web work last month.  I've totally cut the cord for that business.  Time is limited but website bugs are never ending.  Only way to make a living would be to ignore bugs and customer complaints.  That isn't in my DNA.

I need a solid trade.  That's why THESE pendant cords need to be hardy!
